Description
Oil on hardboard. 60 x 70 cm
A practice work, and the product of several lazy (or not so lazy) Saturday/Sunday mornings.
Based on a tutorial for painting realistic silverware by James Sulkowski in the American Artist magazine Still Life special 2005. Yes, I bought that mag stranger aeons ago, cuz it had some tutorials that seemed useful, but only got around to trying one out this summer. Go figure.
The wondrous morning light of me kitchen inspired this work. (photo: [link]) And I used genuine silverware as prescribed in the tutorial... of course I did, sure I did, naturally I did, yeah, right
